Indian Baby Food Chart for 7 Months Baby | 7 Months Indian Baby Food Recipes

last updated: Feb 05, 2023 by Kalyani

7 Months Baby Food Charts by weekly | Indian Baby Food

Indian 7 Month Baby Food Chart, Indian Baby Food recipes, By seven months, babies may learn to chew soft, lumpy food even if they have no teeth. So be sure to include well-mashed food gradually rather than a puree and make a thicker consistency. Don't force the baby, though, as each baby is unique and adopts eating habits at their own pace. Just keep trying your best to encourage his eating habits. Always consider preferring homemade foods for your baby which is safe.

Also, remember that solids food can't replace the nutrients breastmilk or formula provides during the first year. So consider including solids in your baby's diet as complementary feeding. Please read six month baby food chart (to cross-check the foods you have introduced at six months) before you plan a food chart for your seven months baby.

    Notes :

    • Sterilize the bowls and spoons used for feeding your baby in a vessel with hot water for five minutes and keep it immersed in the same vessel until use.
    • Never introduce more than one food at a time when introducing solids to your baby.
    • Salt and sugar are not recommended in a baby's food until one year of age.
    • Check for allergy symptoms when introducing new food to your baby, and stop feeding your child if you find any signs.
    • Feed your baby with breastmilk or formula milk on demand other than the timings mentioned in the chart.
    • Always check with your pediatrician before introducing any new food.
    • Steaming is a healthy option for baby food than pressure cooking. So I prefer steaming using an Idli pot or steamer.

Timings are purely depends on your baby's schedule. Give breakfast from 1-2 hours after baby wakes up. 4 hours gap is ideal for one meal to the other. Always breastfeed or formula feed (at least till one year) before 45 minutes to solid food. Hope it helps!

1, only one meal and snack should be sufficient at this stage, breastfeeding should be major
        2. Babies wake up at night for many reasons. They may feel cold/ hot, hungry/thirsty, wet diaper, sick/cold. Evaluate the cause and take action. Or baby can go through a growth spurt...during growth spurt baby may be more hungry than regular days. The growth spurt is a temporary phase, and the baby will be back to routine in a couple of weeks. Also, most of the breastfed babies wake up in the night until they turn two years. Also, aim for filling foods at dinner like oats, sooji, ragi, etc
        3. you can give a few tsp of water after a meal. And also, you can offer water anytime if you feel your baby is thirsty.

You can opt for homemade food, as suggested in the table above. Breast milk/formula milk you can feed as per baby's demands.
