    Notes :

    • Soaking time vary depends on the type of dates used.
    • Add few tbsp of sugar if you feel the dates are not sweet enough. If you use good quality sweet taste, sugar is not required at all.
    • If the final mixture is too thick after adding wheat flour mix, add few tbsp of milk to get the desired consistency.
    • Don't over mix after adding the dry ingredients, fold them for 10-15 seconds.
    • This dates cake stays well for four days at room temperature and keeps good for a week if stored in the refrigerator.
    • You could use any nuts of your choice instead of walnuts.
    • Mixing and measurements are most important for the perfect cake.

Thank you so much for the recipe. I always make whole wheat cake for my daughter, but it contains lot of sugar. So I was thinking about a healthy alternative. Jaggery came into my mind, butI thought the cake would taste weird. Dates are great alternative. Thank you so much for the revipe.
