    Carrot Moong Dal SoupCarrot Moong dal Soup is a simple, easily digestible, and comforting soup for babies, toddlers, and kids prepared with moong dal, carrot, and little spices. This soup is loaded with protein and vitamins from the carrot and makes comforting food for your little ones. I have mashed the soup with a hand masher, but you can also grind in a blender if you are baby doesn't like the texture. This carrot moong dal soup can be given to babies after eight months.     Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoon Moong Dal
    • 2 tablespoon Carrot Chopped
    • 1 teaspoon Butter/Ghee
    • ¼ teaspoon Ginger Optional
    • Salt as required
    • ⅛ teaspoon Turmeric powder
    • ¼ teaspoon Pepper powder
    • ¼ teaspoon Cumin powder
    • 1 cup Water

    Instructions

    • Take a pressure cooker. Add in washed moong dal and chopped carrot.
    • Add in ginger and water.
    • Now add ghee and turmeric powder.
    • Close the lid of the pressure cooker. Pressure cook it for 2-3 whistles in medium flame. Open the cooker once pressure released.
    • Mash it well with a masher. Add in cumin powder.
    • Also, add in pepper powder and salt.
    • Simmer for 5 mins or until thick. Switch off the flame. Then transfer to a bowl and serve warm.

    Notes :

    • Skip the salt for babies below one year.
    • Introduce this carrot moong dal soup to your baby after introducing carrot and moong dal separately.
    • You can grind the soup after cooking moong dal and carrot, then boil with spices if your baby doesn't like to eat as such.
    • Adjust seasonings according to your child's preference.
    • Always check with your pediatrician before introducing any new food.
    • Soups should be preferred occasionally during illness or monsoon/winter seasons To get the baby to adapt to different textures and tastes. Make sure to include a variety of foods in their monthly diet other than soups.

      Salt is not recommended for babies under 1 year.and most of your recipes has salt which is totally misleading. Pls be vigilant and share authentic info
