Delicious moong dal halwa is ready !
Notes :
- Adding saffron gives a nice yellow color to the halwa. Don't skip it.
- Do the whole process in low medium flame in order to avoid burning in the bottom.
- Make sure to roast the moong dal well otherwise the halwa may have raw smell.
- You can replace sugar with same amount of jaggery.
- You can also use pistachios along with cashews and almonds.
- Always check with your pediatrician before introducing any new food.
- Don't prefer whole nuts for small babies, instead add powdered nuts.

That's quite a bit of sugar 🙁 anyway to replace it?

You can replace the sugar with jaggery, palm jaggery etc. Also if you add finely chopped dates or raisins then you can reduce the amount to 1/4 cup.
