    Processed foods like cookies or candy bars tend to be higher in sugar content than whole fruits or vegetables. Processed sugars are linked with many diseases, including diabetes and obesity. It is best not to give these foods too much attention. If you are going to include other snacks, ensure they are healthy ones instead of candy bars.
