    Sabudhana Kheer for Babies

Sabudana or sago or javvarisi is widely used in India as a fasting food as it's easier to digest, it makes good food for babies. Sabudhana has more starch and no important nutrition; hence, it is considered as a weight gaining food for babies. It is also advisable to feed sabudana to babies once in a while. It provides instant energy to the babies to keep them active, and it is given to babies during diarrhea.

Sabudana can be given to babies from 6 months as Sabudana water, Sabudana khichdi, and Sabudana porridge. Check with your baby's doctor before introducing sago to your baby. This sabudana kheer recipe is for toddlers. My baby loves this sago kheer next to this pumpkin kheer; she loves to see the cute tiny balls in sago kheer. Skip adding nuts if you're feeding this kheer for a sick child. Here is how to make sabudana kheer recipe, for toddlers.

How to make this sabudana kheer for babies below one year?

Cook the sago in water instead of milk, once it is cooked, add mashed dates/raisins/date syrup (instead of sugar) & cook for 2 minutes. Once it's cooled down, add breastmilk or formula. You can also add coconut milk at the end and boil it for two minutes instead of breastmilk/formula. Sabudana Kheer is ready to feed your baby.
