Roasted Phool Makhana Recipe for Babies

Roasted Phool Makhana -roasted puffed lotus seeds/fox nuts with mild spices which is a great snack for kids. I am recently started trying more recipes with Phool makhana after knowing the health benefits of it. This roasted Phool makhana is addictive that no one can stop with one and tastes no less than store bought chips with the bonus of healthy goodness.

You could make this in bulk and store it in an airtight container, serve this as an evening snack when the kids are back from school. Roasted Phool makhana can also be given to babies from 10 months as finger food, cut into small pieces and give your baby to avoid choking.

Here is how to make roasted Phool makhana recipe for babies, toddlers, and kids.Roasted Phool Makhana Recipe for Babies and Toddlers

The fox nuts were nice n crispy when still warm but later they turned chewy again...any suggestions how to prevent this?

You need to roast in low flame to get crispy makhanas. If you roast in high heat, it will be crispy outside, but the inner portion will remain chewy.

Thank you for all healthy and delicious recipes. I only follow your recipes for my babies apart from my own.... they are twins, 2 and half years of age. We think sometimes they are hungry after mid night. What do you suggest to feed them as dinner.

It keeps well for a couple of weeks if you store in an airtight container.
