    Instant Poha Porridge For Babies

    Instant Poha Porridge is an easy, no-cook, quick poha porridge recipe made with poha aka flattened rice, fruits, and milk. This porridge is super fast to make within 10 minutes, and it doesn't require any cooking. Hence it is ideal when you travel with your baby or toddler.     Poha Porridge Recipe for Babies and Toddlers

    Poha Porridge - easy and no cook recipe made with flattened rice that can be served as breakfast for kids

    Ingredients

    • Thick Poha - ½ cup
    • Hot Water - ½ cup
    • Banana - 1 small
    • Jaggery Powder/Dates Powder - 1 tbsp
    • Nuts Powder - 1 Tsp
    • Breastmilk/Formula Milk/Cows Milk - 2 tbsp

    Instructions

    • Take ½ cup of poha in a bowl. Wash and drain the water completely. Use thick poha variety, which is soft enough to mash with 5 minutes of soaking.
    • Add ¼ cup of hot water to the drained poha. Cover it with a lid and set this aside for 5 minutes.
    • Take a banana, peel and mash it with a fork. You can also use soft mashable fruits like papaya, chikku, etc. instead of banana.
    • Now to the soaked poha, add the mashed banana and jaggery powder/dates powder.
    • Now add in nuts powder. Mash it very well until a soft consistency is reached.
    • Now add breastmilk/formula. Mix it once again and serve! For babies above one year, you can use cows milk.

    Method :

    Notes :

    • For babies above one year, you can use cows milk.
    • You can also use soft mashable fruits like papaya, chikku, etc. instead of banana.
    • Use thick poha variety, which is soft enough to mash with 5 minutes of soaking.
    • Make sure to introduce each ingredient separate to your baby, before you try this dahi poha recipe.
