Oats custard is a delicious dessert made with oats, egg yolk, and milk. It's an easy and delicious recipe that can be done within 15 minutes. This recipe is sent to me by a reader of Gkfooddiary, almost a year ago. It is the one on my try list for a long time. The recipe turned out simply delightful, Thank you Ansaba Nazer for sending me this delicious recipe!
The combination of egg yolk, milk, and oats make this recipe calcium-rich, which is necessary for growing kids. This oats custard can be given to babies after eight months by replacing cow's milk with formula milk (pointers given at the end of the post for the preparation using formula milk). Do check out my fruits custard and banana custard recipes too.
Now Let's get on to check how to make this easy oats custard recipe for babies, toddlers & kids.

Hi I tried the recipe but while heating the milk yolk sugar....it's seemed like milk got burst....I mean doodh fat Gaya ho shayad .......let me know what is to b done as I then too added nuts nd oats too....
gkfooddiary
Milk and yolk mixture should be heated only for few minutes or until it's slightly thick. If you heat it for a long time, then it might get burnt. Also you should do everything in low flame. Hope it helps.
