    Wheat Pancakes for Babies

Indian style wheat pancakes with jaggery is a yummy breakfast/Dinner or snack option for kids. I have made it baby friendly without baking powder & rice flour but with 100% whole wheat flour, jaggery & banana. The result was a healthy, delicious, fluffy pancakes but with more nutrients.

You can give this to babies from 8 months at breakfast/dinner. It can be done in jiffy as a quickly delicious snack, you can even make in the last minute to give for kids. We also call this wheat pancakes as sweet wheat dosa. Check this savory version of wheat dosa here. Let's check how to make this healthy wheat pancakes with jaggery for babies & kids.

    Notes :
    • If you want the pancakes to be more crispy, add ¼ cup of rice flour.
    • Banana helps to soften the pancakes.
    • For small babies, skip coconut. Just mash the pancakes with your hands or just dip in warm water and give.
    • You can add a pinch of baking powder if making for adults to get more softness.
    • Increase jaggery powder if u want more sweetness.
    • Don't spread it too thin, otherwise it may stick to the tawa.
    • Generally wheat doesn't cause any allergies, but check for symptoms and stop feeding your baby if you find any.
    • Adding salt is not recommended until 1 year of age.
    • Always check with your pediatrician before introducing any new food.

It ll be soft only but should be cooked well. Try making it thick and cook in low flame.
