Vermicelli Kheer Recipe (with Jaggery) for Toddlers and Kids | Quick Desserts

Ingredients

  • Vermicelli - ½ cup
  • Water - 1.5 cups
  • Milk - 1.5 cups
  • Jaggery - ½ cup
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Cashews - 5
  • Raisins- 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • Keep all the ingredients ready. In a pam dry roast the vermicelli until golden brown.
  • Then add required amount of water to the roasted vermicelli and cook it covered until its cooked well and turns transparent.
  • In the meantime, ghee fry the cashews&raisins and keep it ready. Heat jaggery in a pan with water till it immersed level until its melt completely. Then strain the jaggery water using a strainer to remove the impurities. Also boil the milk and keep it ready.
  • Once the vermicelli is cooked well, add jaggery water with a teaspoon if ghee and cook it further in low medium flame with occasional stirring for 5 minutes. Once the jaggery is well mixed with the vermicelli, switch off the flame .
  • Now add boiled milk at room temperature to the vermicelli and then add ghee fried cashews & raisins. Mix well .
