- Rice Flour - 1 cup
- Jaggery - ¾ cup
- Grated coconut- ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder - ¼ tsp
- Water - 2 cups
- Ghee/ Sesame oil - 2 tsp
Measure and keep all ingredients ready. Heat jaggery in a pan with ½ cup of water until it melts completely.
When the jaggery completely melted, add grated coconut with cardamom powder and mix well. Then adjust the flame to low and add rice flour.
Fry everything quickly until it forms a smooth dough. Switch off the flame once done. Cool it down and start making Dumplings by greasing your hand with sesame oil or ghee. Make a small round ball with a dough using your hands.
Keep each ball into your hands and press it to bring an oblong shaped dumplings. You can make some as round balls too.
Transfer the dumplings to a steamer or idli pot and steam it for 12-15 minutes until the dumplings got cooked well and turns little shiny.
